Pilkington energiKare™ & Low 'E' Glass
If you have already started to research new windows and doors you have probably already come across low emissivity glass and its benefits plus many terms such as U-values and WERs. Explained quickly, the thermal performance of a window is measured in U-values, the lower the U-value the lower the heat loss and the better the window's performance.
To help achieve a low U-value we have incorporated some of Pilkington's latest glass developments into our windows. Burbage Custom Windows is one of few companies to be placed on Pilkington's approved energiKare™ supplier list and as such Pilkington energiKare™ is used in our 'A' and 'B' energy rated windows and consists of Pilkington K Glass™, Pilkington Optiwhite™, argon gas and Super Spacer warm edge technology.
As well as our 'A' and 'B' energy rated windows we also manufacture 'C' energy rated windows which consists of Pilkington K Glass™ and Super Spacer warm edge technology, this window still achieves the requirements of the Energy Saving Trust hence gain Energy Saving Recommended status as an energy efficient product.
